The Hayden Lake Yacht Club exists to bring together boating enthusiasts and friends who enjoy spending time on Hayden Lake. Our focus is fellowship, boating, social activities, community involvement, and creating lasting friendships.

The registered name of this social club is the “Hayden Lake Yacht Club” (HLYC) of Hayden Lake, Idaho, henceforth known as the “Club”

Membership is open to individuals and couples who share the spirit and purpose of the Club. Maximum membership is limited to 70 members Members are expected to:

• Own a boat on Hayden Lake.

• Participate in Club activities when possible.

• Support the welcoming and friendly atmosphere of the Club.

New members are typically introduced by current members and approved by the Membership Chair and Club leadership

The Club is led by a volunteer team consisting of:

• Commodore

• Vice Commodore

• Fleet Captain

• Membership Chair

• Secretary/Treasurer

Additional committees and volunteers may be appointed as needed to support Club activities.

Leadership positions generally serve one-year terms, with flexibility as needed for the benefit of the Club.

The Club hosts social gatherings, boating events, cruises, dinners, community service projects, and other activities throughout the summer months (June-Sept)

Members are encouraged to participate, volunteer, and help make events enjoyable for everyone.

The Club will hold a Spring Kick-Off brunch and a Fall Closing Meeting

Meetings are intended to keep members informed, celebrate Club activities, and discuss future plans in a friendly and informal manner.

Annual dues are established by Club leadership and used to support Club operations and activities.

The Secretary/Treasurer will maintain financial records and provide an annual summary to members.

The Hayden Lake Yacht Club is built on friendship and respect.

Please treat all members with kindness and respect.

Long-time members who no longer own a boat may continue participating as Legacy Members at the discretion of Club leadership.

These guidelines are intended to provide direction rather than strict regulation.

They may be updated from time to time as the Club evolves and membership needs change
